Dä Brüeder vom Heinz plays and sings self-composed and written songs in Thurgau dialect, sometimes groovy and pop, sometimes gentle and dreamy about love, life and everyday madness. He is now recognised as the only one of his kind to represent the Thurgau dialect professionally, both in his home canton and throughout German-speaking Switzerland.

In the last eight years, “Dä Brüeder vom Heinz” has produced the three albums “Marroniherz”, “Coole Hund” and “Siebesiech”. They have also released 20 music videos, which you can enjoy here on the homepage or on YouTube. The songs “Wyfelde” and “Thurgauer” have achieved cult status throughout Switzerland and have been viewed and listened to well over 1.5 million times in the various internet media. His fourth album “Spannendi Gschichte” will be released in March 2024.

Under the motto “More Rhythm & More Mischief”, “Dä Brüeder vom Heinz” enters clubs and concert stages, small pubs and private homes with the “Live Band”, the “Acoustic Trio” and also with his solo programme, celebrating his music in his very own live versions.

The time is ripe for real Thurgau pop music, as unique as only “dä Brüeder vom Heinz” plays and performs it throughout Switzerland! Don’t miss it!!!

Something for the ears:

Something for the eyes:

How it all began:

At the beginning of the 80s, I founded the rock-jazz band “Lennox Cornfreaks” together with school friend Ruedi Gust and other musicians, which I left after a few years to create my own music with a straightforward rock flavour with the newly founded band “The Crime”. The Crime” existed for ten years, also producing a CD in Rolf Riedweg’s Nightsound studio and scoring points with their live performances. In 1994, the band played live for the last time at the legendary Musiquarium Unplugged anniversary in the Bottighofer multi-purpose hall in front of 600 enthusiastic spectators.

Now I decided to learn the guitar in order to write songs for a new band with folk and country influences that sounded much softer and more melodic than “The Crime”. This band was to be called “Vance Garden” and was to define my musical work for another nine years. “Vance Garden” made a good name for themselves with many live appearances, including as the support band for Gölä, Sina and Manfred Mann’s Earthband.

Well over 100 gigs, 2 CDs and several TV appearances also brought the group national success. But 2003 was the end. The fire had gone out and the band parted on good terms.
The guitar gathered dust, the vocals fell silent.

It wasn’t until nine long years later that a concert by singer Ray Wilson (Genesis/Stiltskin) touched and inspired me so much that I put new strings on my guitar the very next day and started playing, singing and composing again. At first, as usual, in English, but I soon discovered my own dialect and felt so comfortable with it that I now compose and sing exclusively in my native language. With a new name and a fresh concept, I want to let it rip again!
